ChinaBio Executive Workshop held in Beijing

On May 21, an Executive Workshop, sponsored by Unitalen (IP firm) and ChinaBio, was held in Beijing. Charles C. Liu, partner and director of U.S. Canadian practice at Unitalen, Greg B. Scott, president and founder of ChinaBio Accelerator, John K. Liu, attorney of Fenwick & West LLP, and Farming Zhang, president and CTO of Crown Biosience, Inc., delivered keynote speeches.
The Workshop attracted more than 50 attendees from enterprises and institutions discussing topics on company foundation and operation, international cooperation and intellectual property strategies in China’s biotech. It was aimed at enhancing communication among investors, entrepreneurs, and attorneys. 
With graphical examples, Charles C. Liu, the key lecturer, expatiated on the status of invention and patent protection from an international perspective. Greg B. Scott, Faming Zhang, and John K. Liu explained the issues of attracting investment capital, reducing drug development costs, and structuring a global company. (Ginny Han)
